A week from today, on Monday April 27th at 8:30 pm at night, come to Navarre - 10 NE 28th off the corner of Burnside and 28th on the east side, and learn to eat like an Estonian.
The menu is still up in the air, but I can guarantee it will be pescatarian friendly (and certainly agreeable to us carnivores), and please contact me if you have other dietary concerns but are interested in attending. The meal will be three courses and cost $40 per person, which includes wine pairings with each course and a proceed that will benefit this project. Reservations are highly encouraged, call 503 -232 - 3555.
We will be having a special guest at the event! My dad, Gary Lipp, is coming to pour his wines for us. In 2002, Dad and his partner Brooks Painter boldly started their own wine label, Coho Wines, in my hometown of Napa - and have been making beautiful California reds together ever since. I am very proud of their wines and very excited for them to be experienced in Portland - in fact the name Coho for the label was born when my Dad and I visited Portland for my prospective student trip to Lewis and Clark back in the day, so it is nice to see it all come to fruition here. We will be drinking the 2006 Stanly Ranch Pinot Noir, the 2007 Russian River Pinot, the 2005 Michael Black Merlot (my favorite), and the 2005 SummitVine Ranch Cabernet. It should be a real treat. More information about the wines can be found at www.cohowines.com - but better just to come drink them. =)
More info by emailing me, emma.ruth.lipp@gmail.com, or on the Navarre website, navarreportland.blogspot.com
Thanks!
